Berlin specialists analyze evidence in ricin investigation

Specialists at the Robert Koch Institut in Berlin are currently conducting examinations on evidence related to a ricin investigation. The materials include two water bottles seized on January 7 from a residence in Pietracatella, where Antonella Di Ielsi, Gianni Di Vita, and their daughters lived.

One of the seized items is described as a white aluminum bottle containing a colorless, odorless liquid with evident solid residues. The second is a black plastic bottle also containing a colorless, odorless liquid. Additionally, investigators recovered a small glass container from a nearby apartment containing a dark granular substance with a slight pepper-like scent, along with a paper towel containing a similar substance. These items are part of a broader sample being analyzed by German experts to investigate the potential presence of ricin.
