Berlin vehicle attacks injure cyclist and pedestrians
In Berlin-Rudow, a driver turned into the path of an 80‑year‑old cyclist on Alt‑Rudow street, struck him and fled the scene. The cyclist was hospitalized after being dragged briefly. Police later identified a 38‑year‑old man without a driver's licence as the suspect; his vehicle was seized and a blood sample taken under a court order.
Later that evening in the Tiergarten park in Berlin-Mitte, a white car drove onto the Ahornsteig pathway at about 22:00, hitting a group of pedestrians and causing multiple injuries, some life‑threatening. Police are searching for the driver and the vehicle, urging witnesses to provide any photos or video. A separate violent altercation occurred nearby in Schöneberg, but the primary focus remains the two vehicle‑related attacks.
Both incidents are under investigation by the Berlin Police.
