Berlinale 2026 Boosts Berlin Tourism with Panoramapunkt Viewpoint
The Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) will return in February 2026, turning the city into a major film hub for the month. Organisers and local businesses promote a day‑trip itinerary that pairs the festival’s screenings with a visit to the Panoramapunkt observation deck, located at the Kollhoff Tower on Potsdamer Platz.
Visitors can ride one of Europe’s fastest elevators to the 100‑metre‑high platform in about 20 seconds and enjoy a 360‑degree panorama of Berlin’s historic and modern landmarks. The site also hosts a small exhibition on the history of Potsdamer Platz and a café where guests can relax before heading to festival venues. The combined programme is marketed as a convenient way to experience both the cinematic programme and the city’s architecture in a single day.
