Bersatu Terengganu leadership crisis as three senior leaders resign
Three senior leaders of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) in the Malaysian state of Terengganu have submitted resignations, creating a near‑paralysis of the party's state leadership. The resignations include state chief Datuk Razali Idris, who also serves as a Terengganu state executive council member and chair of the tourism, culture, environment and climate committee. Two state assembly members, Datuk Mohd Zawawi Ismail (Telemong) and Mohd Husaimi Hussin (Hulu Besut), stepped down as the party's information chief and treasurer respectively.
Razali sent his resignation letter to party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in mid‑July and plans to relinquish his role as state division chief in September while remaining a party member. Deputy state leader Khazan Che Mat, who also serves as Deputy Speaker of the Terengganu State Assembly, indicated he may follow the same course. The resignations come amid earlier dismissals and defections that have weakened the party's state structure.
