Bethesda Announces Fallout 5 Pre‑Production and Obsidian Collaboration

Bethesda, now part of Microsoft, revealed that Fallout 5 has entered the pre‑production phase. The studio also confirmed that Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas will receive graphical remasters using Unreal Engine 5. Development of the upcoming title will involve Obsidian Entertainment, marking the studio's return to the franchise after more than a decade. Bethesda said the new Fallout games will run on the updated Creation Engine 3, the same engine used for recent releases such as Starfield. While no launch date was provided, the announcement highlights multiple Fallout projects in the pipeline and underscores the company's commitment to revitalising the series.

The news signals a strategic push by Bethesda to expand its flagship RPG line and leverage newer technology for improved graphics and performance.
