Bethlehem Kudumba Unit breaks Malayalam box office records

The Malayalam film ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’, starring Nivin Pauly and Mamita Baiju, has set new box office records. Within 22 days of its release, the film has reportedly grossed over Rs 292 crore worldwide.

In Kerala, the film has earned approximately Rs 130 crore, surpassing previous records held by films such as ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’ and ‘Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros’. It has also reportedly overtaken the collections of ‘L2: Empuraan’ and ‘Thudarum’. A significant fourth-Saturday haul of Rs 3.80 crore contributed to its sustained momentum, pushing its Kerala total to around Rs 86.80 crore.

Directed by Girish AD and produced by Bhavana Studios, the romantic comedy follows the story of Ashley and Justin. The film was released during the Onam festival and has since been released in Tamil and Telugu. While JioHotstar has secured the streaming rights, an official OTT release date has not been announced.
