Bethlehem Kudumba Unit breaks Malayalam box office records

The Malayalam film ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’ has achieved historic success at the box office, reportedly surpassing the Rs. 300 crore gross mark worldwide. In Kerala, the film has seen over 90 lakh admissions, making it the most watched film in the state since the year 2000 and surpassing previous major hits like ‘Narasimham’ and ‘Pulimurugan’ in footfalls.

Due to its sustained theatrical performance, the digital release on OTT platforms has been delayed. While originally expected by September 18, the makers may extend the theatrical run by several weeks to maximize cinema revenue. Jio Hotstar holds the post-theatrical streaming rights, though an official premiere date has not yet been announced. While the film has been a massive hit in its original Malayalam version, its dubbed versions in Telugu and Tamil have seen more limited success.
