Bethlehem Kudumba Unit earns ₹129 Cr worldwide in opening week

The romantic comedy ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’, starring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju, has achieved significant commercial success, grossing approximately ₹129 Cr worldwide in its first week. The film’s performance was bolstered by the Onam 2026 festive season, with India accounting for ₹62 Cr and overseas markets contributing ₹67 Cr.

On its seventh day of release, the film collected ₹9.62 Cr from 2,704 shows across 216 cities, marking a 12.1% increase from the previous day. Critics have noted the film’s ability to balance its central romance with a detailed portrayal of the social dynamics within the Karukutty community, comparing its exploratory character work to classic Malayalam cinema.

Following its strong theatrical run, a Telugu version of the film is scheduled for release next week to expand its reach in South Indian markets.
