OnePlus launches Buds Clip open-ear wireless earbuds
OnePlus has officially unveiled the OnePlus Buds Clip, its first entry into the clip-on, open-ear wireless earbud category. Designed to allow users to remain aware of their surroundings, the earbuds feature a C-shaped bridge made from a flexible nickel-titanium memory alloy. Each earbud weighs 5.2 grams and has received TÜV Rheinland Comfortable Fit certification.
A standout feature is the symmetrical design with automatic left and right ear detection. Built-in sensors recognize which ear the device is attached to and automatically adjust the stereo audio channels, eliminating the need to distinguish between left and right buds.
For audio performance, the Buds Clip utilize dual drivers tuned by Dynaudio, consisting of an 11mm woofer and a 9mm tweeter. The hardware includes dual DACs and supports the LHDC 3.0 and 5.0 high-definition audio codecs. To address sound leakage common in open-ear designs, OnePlus implemented dipole sound field technology using reverse sound waves.
Technical specifications include a 6nm AI audio chip, a six-microphone array with bone-conduction voice pick-up, and IP55 dust and water resistance. The device offers up to 9.5 hours of battery life on a single charge, extending to 40 hours with the charging case. While the product is listed on OnePlus's global website, specific pricing and regional availability have not yet been announced.
