Beylikdüzü hosts Perseid meteor shower observation event

Beylikdüzü Municipality organized the ‘SMART SPACE: Perseid Meteor Shower and Space Observation’ program to allow hundreds of residents to witness the Perseid meteor shower. The free event was held at the Aziz Sancar Science and Art Center.

The program included informative presentations regarding the formation of meteor showers and the movement of celestial bodies. Participants had the opportunity to observe the meteor shower and various planets closely using telescopes at the center's observatory. Additionally, the event featured a planetaryum experience for children and adults to explore deep space, as well as a drone show.
