BIAS 2026 aviation show to take place in Bucharest

The 16th edition of the Bucharest International Air Show (BIAS 2026) is scheduled for August 28–29 at the Bucharest Băneasa 'Aurel Vlaicu' International Airport and ROMAERO. The event will feature over 200 military and civilian participants from Romania and abroad.

This edition honors Traian Vuia, marking 120 years since the Romanian inventor's first self-propelled flight. The program includes aerial demonstrations, tactical exercises, formation flights, and aerobatic displays. Notable international participants include the Frecce Tricolori and the Turkish Stars.

On Friday, August 28, the event begins with training flights and an emergency intervention simulation. The main show takes place on Saturday, August 29, featuring the Romanian Air Force and various aerobatic teams. The festivities will conclude with a drone show, fireworks, and a concert. Public access to the event is free.
