Eschweiler: Police end cross-border pursuit of stolen vehicle

A high-speed police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle began in Eupen, Belgium, and ended in Eschweiler, Germany. The chase, which involved Belgian police, the German Federal Police, and the Aachen Police, included the use of a police helicopter. The pursuit concluded after the driver exited the A44 motorway and collided with a Federal Police vehicle. Two 36-year-old men were apprehended; the driver was hospitalized and subsequently taken into custody.
