Bielsko-Biała hosts community mosaics and street art installations
Bielsko-Biała is hosting various cultural activities and art installations as part of its summer programming. The Municipal Cultural Promenade includes community-led projects, such as the creation of a large-scale mosaic representing different city districts through various artistic techniques.
In addition to community workshops, the city features ceramic mosaics installed in street pavement gaps. These works were created by the French art collective EMEMEM during the Off Road artist residencies, part of the Street Art Academy project organized by Galeria Bielska BWA. The collective uses colorful ceramic compositions to fill cracks and holes in sidewalks, a practice described as "healing the city."
Multiple mosaic locations have been identified throughout the city center, including areas near Villa Sixta, Mostowa Street, and the Old Market Square. A map has been prepared to help residents and tourists locate these installations.
