Bigg Boss Tamil 10 premieres with new audience voting format

The tenth season of the reality show Bigg Boss Tamil premiered on September 6, hosted by actor Vijay Sethupathi. The new season features a revamped format where a live audience voted during the launch to determine which contestants would enter the house. Out of 29 initial personalities, 19 secured spots, including celebrities such as Lakshmi Priya, Chandini Tamilarasan, Avinash Ashok, and Shathiga.

This season introduces a ‘Common Man’ element, allowing non-celebrities to compete alongside established stars. Three winners from the ‘Bigg Boss: The Common Man’ contest—Jason, Muniyamma, and Shama—have joined the house. The production, which took 45 days to construct, includes over 54 cameras and a redesigned kitchen area.

The show is broadcast on Star Vijay and JioHotstar, with extended live voting capabilities available for audiences in Singapore, the UK, and Canada. The theme for the season is ‘Carnivizha’ (carnival vibe).
