Bihar officials raided in disproportionate assets case

The Vigilance Investigation Bureau conducted raids in Patna and Begusarai against Ravindra Kumar Diwakar, the ADM (Supply), and his wife, Kumari Sweety, who serves as a Sub-Registrar in Danapur. The operation follows an investigation into disproportionate assets totaling approximately 1 crore 6 lakh 85 thousand 900 rupees beyond the official's known sources of income.

During the searches, which were carried out following a court-issued warrant, officials seized approximately 79 lakh rupees in cash. Additionally, investigators recovered 48 watches valued at roughly six lakh rupees, various gold and silver ornaments, and numerous documents related to land and real estate holdings.

Authorities are currently verifying the seized documents to determine the full extent of the couple's movable and immovable properties and to identify the sources of the funds used for these acquisitions.
