Bihar Police arrest seven in human trafficking and sex trade gang

Bihar Police have dismantled a gang involved in human trafficking and illegal sex trade, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals and the rescue of two minor girls.

The operation began following the disappearance of a minor girl from the Hardia Mela in Muzaffarpur. Following a technical investigation and intelligence gathering, police conducted raids in the Ramkrishna Nagar area of Patna, where they successfully recovered the abducted girl.

Investigations revealed that the victim had been brought to Muzaffarpur and allegedly pushed into illegal sex work before being sent to Patna. During the raids, police arrested Bittu Kumar, Shamita Kumari, Sujeet Kumar, and landlord Girija Yadav in Patna, as well as Anita Kumari, Ashish Kumar, and Bhushan Jha in Muzaffarpur. A second minor was also rescued during the process.
