Bihar Police dismantled a gang involved in human trafficking and illegal sex trade, leading to the arrest of seven individuals and the rescue of two minor girls.

The operation was initiated following the disappearance of a minor girl from the Hardia Mela in Muzaffarpur. Through technical investigations and intelligence gathering, authorities conducted raids in the Ramkrishna Nagar area of Patna to recover the victim.

Investigations indicated the victim had been moved to Muzaffarpur and allegedly forced into illegal sex work before being sent to Patna. During the raids, police arrested Bittu Kumar, Shamita Kumari, Sujeet Kumar, and landlord Girija Yadav in Patna, alongside Anita Kumari, Ashish Kumar, and Bhushan Jha in Muzaffarpur. A second minor was also rescued during the operation.
