Bihor County hosts traditional festivals in Marghita, Oradea, and Beiuș

The Bihor County Cultural Center, supported by the Bihor County Council, is organizing the second edition of the ‘Higheghe și vin’ event. This celebration of Bihor traditions, music, and folk dance will expand to three cities: Marghita, Oradea, and Beiuș.

In Marghita, the festivities will take place at Eroilor Park on September 27. The event coincides with the ‘Gusturi și tradiții DE BIHOR’ festival, which offers visitors the opportunity to purchase local produce, crafts from folk artisans, and traditional culinary dishes such as sarmale, various traditional pies, and bean goulash.

The ‘Higheghe și vin’ component focuses on revitalizing community traditions through music and dance, featuring highghiși musicians from the Crișuri region. Participants are encouraged to wear at least one element of traditional Bihor clothing to join the dances.
