Bijan Robinson named NFC Offensive Player of the Week
Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson has been named the NFL’s NFC Offensive Player of the Week following a standout performance in a 35-14 victory over the Green Bay Packers. During the Week 3 Thursday Night Football matchup, Robinson recorded 194 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries, along with 19 receiving yards.
Robinson currently leads the NFL in scrimmage yards with 467 through the first three weeks of the 2026 season. He also becomes the 10th player in NFL history to surpass 6,000 career scrimmage yards before the age of 25. The win marked the first game of the season for quarterback Michael Penix Jr. following his return from injury.
Reflecting on his performance in primetime, Robinson cited a philosophy from Kobe Bryant, noting that because audiences pay to watch, players must perform their jobs. The Falcons' offense showed significant balance in the win, with wide receiver Drake London contributing 194 receiving yards.
