Turkish municipalities granted new service vehicles by state bodies

The Bilecik Municipality approved the receipt of a combined canal‑opening vehicle donated by the Turkey Municipalities Union (TBB) during its July council meeting. The council also authorized a one‑million‑lira cash support, updated smart‑card fare tariffs, and a joint service protocol with Eskişehir Osmangazi University to study and improve the city’s public‑bus system.

In Tokat, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change supplied a new vacuum‑tanker (vidanjör) to the municipal fleet. Mayor Mehmet Kemal Yazıcıoğlu thanked Minister Murat Kurum for the grant, noting that the vehicle will increase the city’s infrastructure‑service capacity. He announced plans to add two more modern tankers, bringing the total to three.

Both municipalities highlighted the grant vehicles as part of broader efforts to modernise equipment, improve service efficiency and strengthen local‑government operations.
