Bill Gates Testifies Before US Congress on Jeffrey Epstein Ties
Co‑founder of Microsoft Bill Gates appeared before a US House investigative committee to answer questions about his past relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Gates said he “never hurt anyone” and that his contacts with Epstein were “a huge mistake,” adding that he had no knowledge of any ongoing criminal activity by the financier.
The hearing, led by Rep. James Comer, focused on Gates’s friendship with Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, as well as Gates’s admitted extramarital affairs with two Russian women. Gates expressed hope that his testimony would aid the committee’s effort to bring justice to Epstein’s victims. Epstein died in prison in 2019 before his trial.
