Bill Gates Testifies Epstein Attempted Blackmail Over Infidelity

Bill Gates appeared before the U.S. House Oversight Committee and said Jeffrey Epstein tried to blackmail him by threatening to expose the philanthropist’s extramarital affairs with his then‑wife Melinda. Gates stated Epstein used the alleged information to demand financial and political concessions, but Gates refused and ended the relationship.

Gates emphasized he never visited Epstein’s island, ranch or Florida home, denied witnessing any criminal conduct, and called his association a “grave error in judgment.” He expressed support for the release of related documents and urged that Epstein’s victims receive justice, while acknowledging the embarrassment and risk the meetings posed to his global‑health work.
