Binance Stock Trading Hits $1 Billion AUM in First Month
Binance launched a stock‑trading service on June 1, 2026 that lets users buy tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs directly in the Binance app, settled in stablecoins. Within 30 days the platform amassed over $1 billion in assets under management and generated nearly $3 billion in total trading volume. About 73 % of participants are from emerging‑market regions, and fractional orders account for roughly 35 % of equity volume, enabling trades as small as $5. The technology sector dominates holdings, representing roughly 71 % of equity positions, with half of that directed to semiconductor stocks.
Binance’s Head of Exchange and Trading, Shunyet Jan, said the milestone “shows the demand that has been waiting decades for a door to walk through,” emphasizing that the service provides a pathway for individuals without traditional broker accounts. Tokenized securities (bStocks) track the price of the underlying shares and can be traded 24/7 or converted into direct stock positions at no cost. The rapid uptake highlights a broader shift as crypto exchanges expand into equity markets, potentially bringing hundreds of millions of new investors into U.S. stocks.
