Binance and BNB Chain expand US stock trading services

Overview

Since launching bStocks in June 2026, Binance has expanded its tokenised-stock suite, allowing non-U.S. users to trade over 7,000 stocks and ETFs using stablecoins or BNB. By mid-August, bStocks became the second-largest issuer in the tokenized stock market, overtaking Kraken xStocks with approximately $610.6 million in assets under management (AUM), trailing only Ondo Finance. The broader tokenized stock sector has seen massive expansion, growing from roughly $80 million a year prior to approximately $2.7 billion.

In August, the tokenized stock market saw record growth, with the number of holders increasing by 120% compared to July. BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain drove this expansion, accounting for roughly 73% of total holders. Specifically, Binance’s bStocks grew from 52,900 holders in July to 464,700 in August, a surge attributed to waived maker fees and aggressive listing expansions. By early September, the total on-chain market capitalization for tokenized stocks reached approximately $3.1 billion, up from $1.7 billion in late June.

BNB Chain has emerged as a dominant force in the sector, accounting for nearly half of the estimated $2.9 billion market by late August. While Solana and Robinhood Chain also drive significant volume, researchers note a gap in utility, with only about 5% of the tokenized equity market currently utilized in on-chain finance. Furthermore, BNB Chain has become the fastest-growing blockchain for real-world assets (RWA) in 2026, reporting a year-to-date RWA value growth of approximately $3.6 billion, surpassing Solana’s $2.6 billion growth.
