Sarajevo Film Festival 2025 attracts thousands, showcases restored Oscar film and sponsor program
From 14 to 21 August, the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival will host thousands of guests from the international film industry and tens of thousands of visitors, with extensive security and municipal support. The Canton reports a 5.5 % rise in arrivals and a 4 % increase in overnight stays compared with the previous year, underscoring the festival’s role as a major tourism driver for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The festival’s program includes a special open‑air screening of the digitally restored 4K version of Danis Tanović’s Oscar‑winning film “Ničija zemlja,” marking its 25‑year anniversary. Meanwhile, Bingo Group, the exclusive sponsor for the fourth consecutive year, runs an internal employee activation called “Our place for our people,” offering staff the chance to share stories and attend a VIP dinner prepared by chef Severin Terzić on the festival’s most scenic balcony.
The event is coordinated by multiple cantonal ministries, the police, fire brigade and utility services, ensuring smooth operations and enhanced public services throughout the week.
