BinniBus transport system receives legislative support in Oaxaca

Legislators from the Oaxaca State Congress have highlighted the progress of the BinniBus Metropolitan Collective Transport System, an initiative promoted by Governor Salomón Jara Cruz. The project aims to provide dignified, efficient, and sustainable public transportation for the metropolitan area.

To ensure the system's viability, the LXVI Legislature approved a budget of 53,216,000 pesos. This funding supports a general fare of 8 pesos when paying by card, with a preferential rate of 4 pesos for students. The system has expanded from six to 35 routes over two years and currently serves more than 52,000 users daily.

In addition to economic accessibility, the project emphasizes safety and technology through the incorporation of electric units and video surveillance in vehicles to improve security for women and youth.
