BINUS University expands research and academic partnerships
BINUS University has launched the Multihelix Hub at its BSD campus within the D-HUB Special Economic Zone in Tangerang. Managed by the Research and Technology Transfer (RTT) division, the hub is designed to bridge the gap between academic research and industrial needs by fostering collaboration among academics, industry, government, communities, SMEs, and the media.
Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, Vice Rector for Research and Technology Transfer at BINUS University, stated that the hub aims to create an open innovation ecosystem. Unlike conventional Science and Techno Parks, the Multihelix Hub seeks to reduce barriers between research and industry to democratize innovation within the BSD technology ecosystem.
Additionally, the Visual Communication Design (DKV) program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) has entered into a strategic partnership with BINUS University. This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding, focuses on enhancing educational quality, curriculum development, and preparing graduates to compete in the creative industry through knowledge exchange between the two institutions.
