Biobío Red Alert for flooding canceled by Senapred

Senapred has canceled the Regional Red Alert for flooding in the Biobío region of Chile. The decision follows a gradual and sustained decrease in river flow levels and a projected decline in precipitation for the coming days.

While the risk of inundation for populations near watercourses has diminished, technical analysis shows that the Biobío River in Ralco 1, the Biobío River mouth, and the Pichilo River in Pichilo still exceed Blue Alert thresholds, though they are trending downward and stabilizing. Authorities continue to maintain constant monitoring of the region's hydrological stations.
