Biobío Region students receive 2026 School Achievement Bonus

More than 26,000 students in the Biobío Region of Chile have begun receiving the 2026 'Bono Logro Escolar' (School Achievement Bonus). The benefit, provided by the Ministry of Social Development and Family, is designed to recognize the academic performance of students belonging to the most vulnerable 30% of the population.

The bonus is available to students from 5th grade primary through 4th year of secondary school who rank within the top 30% of their class. Payment amounts are determined by academic standing: students in the top 15% receive $82,181, while those in the second 15% receive $49,310. Payments are made automatically via CuentaRUT deposits.

Nationally, the program reaches over 277,000 students with a total social investment exceeding $18 billion pesos. In the Biobío Region specifically, the investment totals $1,779 million pesos. Daniel Manchileo, the Regional Ministerial Secretary of Social Development and Family, stated that the initiative aims to reward merit and effort among young people.
