These evaluations consider student performance in Enade, faculty quality, and infrastructure. Distance learning Biology programs typically last four years and offer both teaching degrees (licenciatura) and bachelor's degrees.

Additionally, the PROFBIO 2027 program is offering 572 free vacancies for a Professional Master's in Biology Teaching across various public universities. Coordinated by the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), the program is designed for public school teachers working in Biology or Science. Applications for the 2027 intake are scheduled to take place from September 1 to September 30, 2026, via the internet.
