Bisceglie and Bari host major religious festivals in August 2026

The city of Bisceglie will hold its Festa Patronale of the Santi Martiri from August 7 to August 11, 2026, featuring liturgical ceremonies, the translation of the patron saints’ portrait, a Palio della Quercia, concerts, comedy shows, a DJ set, and fireworks. The program, presented on July 19, emphasizes community solidarity and cultural heritage.

In Bari, the Museo Nicolaiano will open the exhibition “San Nicola – Mille Volti” on July 25, 2026, at 18:30. Curated by the Accademia Cittadella Nicolaiana, the show presents icons and iron sculptures by artist Pino Potenzieri Pace, illustrating the diverse representations of Saint Nicholas across Byzantine, Orthodox, Latin, and Mediterranean traditions, and highlighting his role as a symbol of hospitality and dialogue.
