Bitcoin ETFs see $987 million in weekly inflows led by BlackRock

US spot Bitcoin ETFs have experienced a significant surge in demand, recording approximately $986.7 million in net inflows for the week ending September 4. This performance marks a three-week streak of heavy buying, contributing to a total of $3.8 billion in inflows over that period. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has emerged as the dominant market force, accounting for a substantial portion of these inflows and effectively offsetting net outflows from other funds, such as Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust (GBTC).

On September 3, BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin products alone recorded $454 million in inflows. Other notable contributors during the week included ARK Invest and 21Shares’ ARKB, which added $137.7 million, and Fidelity’s FBTC, which saw $74.4 million in inflows. Total assets under management (AUM) for all US spot Bitcoin ETFs have reached approximately $101.3 billion.

While Bitcoin demand remains strong, the broader crypto market has shown volatility. Ethereum ETFs also saw positive activity, though inflows for spot Ether funds dropped significantly week-over-week. The influx of capital into Bitcoin ETFs is viewed by analysts as a sign of renewed institutional interest in the asset class.
