Bitcoin exchange inflows rise amid Binance holding surge

Bitcoin exchange balances have seen a short-term shift toward net inflows, with approximately 1,719 BTC entering major exchanges recently. However, weekly and monthly trends continue to show net outflows, indicating a medium-term decrease in exchange reserves.

Binance's Bitcoin holdings have reached their highest level in nearly two years, surpassing 690,000 BTC. While this increase could signal potential selling pressure as prices approach $80,000, analysts note that part of this growth stems from Binance converting $1 billion of its Secure Asset Fund for Users (SAFU) into Bitcoin. This reserve is intended for platform protection and is not categorized as immediate market liquidity.

In the derivatives market, Bitcoin option open interest stands at approximately $41.03 billion, with call options accounting for 61.68% of the total, suggesting a bullish mid-term sentiment. Trading volume has seen significant regional shifts, with notable increases in US and Asian trading volumes during specific sessions.

Recent capital flows show mixed results for major assets; while Ethereum saw significant inflows, Bitcoin experienced substantial outflows of approximately $15.25 million in a five-hour window, reflecting high volatility and shifting investor positions.
