Bitcoin market rally and exchange activity

The cryptocurrency market has experienced a significant rebound, characterized by a surge in Bitcoin prices and a 19% month-over-month increase in total spot trading volume across 14 major centralized exchanges. During this period, Binance maintained market leadership, commanding approximately 45-46% of volume among the tracked exchanges.

While Bitcoin prices rose, Bitcoin miners largely underperformed relative to exchanges, with the average miner capturing only 8.2% of the price upside. Some mining companies have begun transitioning toward high-performance computing (HPC) and AI to shift revenue projections.

Recent data shows a shift toward net inflows of Bitcoin into major exchanges, though medium-term trends indicate a decrease in overall exchange reserves. Binance’s Bitcoin holdings have reached a nearly two-year high, surpassing 690,000 BTC, partly due to the platform converting $1 billion of its Secure Asset Fund for Users (SAFU) into Bitcoin. Despite high volatility and instances of substantial outflows, bullish mid-term sentiment is suggested by Bitcoin option open interest, with call options accounting for 61.68% of the total.
