Bitcoin ETFs see $2.4 billion in weekly inflows amid market volatility

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced a significant resurgence, recording approximately $2.4 billion in net inflows during the week ending September 25, 2026. This marks the strongest weekly performance since October 2025 and has returned the year-to-date net inflows to positive territory of approximately $934 million. BlackRock’s IBIT led the inflows with roughly $1.2 billion. Analysts have linked this recovery to the U.S. Treasury’s August announcement regarding increased liquidity-support buybacks for long-dated bonds.

Despite the massive capital influx, Bitcoin's price has faced resistance near the $84,000 to $87,000 range. This consolidation is attributed to significant supply from long-term holders and a high opportunity cost as U.S. 10-year Treasury yields rose above 5.2%, levels not seen since 2007. While ETFs are absorbing supply, the market is balancing institutional demand against macroeconomic headwinds.

In separate news, the cryptocurrency exchange Bitget reported an unauthorized outflow of approximately $387.5 million from its hot wallets, an amount revised upward after including Zcash and TRON assets. Additionally, Solana and XRP ETFs saw combined net inflows of $264.11 million, with Solana achieving its largest weekly inflow of the year.
