Bitdeer AI expands Malaysia campus with 65.1MW facility
Bitdeer AI, the AI cloud division of Bitdeer Technologies Group, has secured a 65.1MW AI cloud data center facility, known as A202, at its Johor Bahru campus in Malaysia. This project represents the company’s largest single capacity addition in Southeast Asia and is part of a 10-year data center services agreement.
The A202 facility is expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2027. It will utilize NVIDIA’s GB300 NVL72 and Vera Rubin platforms, which are optimized for high-performance computing and liquid cooling. This expansion brings Bitdeer’s secured AI Cloud capacity to approximately 206.5MW globally, moving the company closer to its 350MW target for early 2028.
Following this announcement, Bitdeer reported that its active pipeline for AI cloud capacity has grown to exceed $7 billion, a significant increase from $2 billion reported in early September. CFO Michael G. Potter noted that demand for liquid-cooled, rack-scale AI cloud capacity for 2027 is currently outpacing available supply.
