Bitdeer Technologies secures $400M AI cloud deal in Malaysia

Bitdeer Technologies has secured approximately $400 million in contracted revenue through a five-year offtake agreement for AI cloud services. The deal involves a new 9.5 MW liquid-cooled data center in Malaysia, known as A102, and will cover roughly 50% of its total capacity.

Under the terms of the agreement, an unnamed customer of “high credit quality” will prepay more than half of the associated capital expenditures, reducing the upfront financial risk for Bitdeer. While the deal represents a significant shift for the company from Bitcoin mining toward AI infrastructure, services are not scheduled to begin until the first quarter of 2027, meaning it will not impact revenue in 2026.

Bitdeer aims to expand its AI-ready data center capacity to 350 MW globally by the first quarter of 2028, supported by an active pipeline exceeding $2 billion.
