Bite Latvija to perform network maintenance in Riga

Bite Latvija has announced scheduled network software maintenance in Riga, set to take place during the night from September 27 to September 28. The work will affect 139 base stations across various neighborhoods in the capital.

The maintenance is scheduled between 00:30 and 03:00, a period of low network activity. During this window, each base station will undergo two brief restarts, each lasting approximately three minutes. As a result, some customers may experience temporary disruptions to voice calls, mobile internet, and other services across 2G, 4G, and 5G networks.

Aleksandrs Beļajevs, head of the radio network department at Bite Latvija, stated that these regular updates are part of an ongoing process to manage increasing data consumption and prepare infrastructure for future technologies. The company advises customers to restart their devices if connectivity issues persist after the maintenance period. For unresolved issues, customers can contact the service center at 1601.
