Bite Latvija to perform network software updates in Kurzeme

Bite Latvija will conduct network software enhancement works in the Kurzeme region on the night of September 21–22. The maintenance will affect more than 190 base stations across Kuldīga, Ventspils, South Kurzeme, Saldus, Talsi, and Tukums municipalities, as well as Liepāja and Ventspils.

The work is scheduled between 00:30 and 03:00, during which each base station will undergo two brief restarts of approximately three minutes each. During this window, customers may experience temporary disruptions to voice calls, mobile internet, and other services across 2G, 4G, and 5G networks.

Aleksandrs Beļajevs, head of the Radio Network Department at Bite Latvija, stated that regular software updates improve service performance and strengthen network resilience for future technological demands. The company advises customers to restart their devices if connectivity issues persist after the maintenance period.
