Bitty Kitty Brigade kittens visit Sea Life aquarium at Mall of America

The Bitty Kitty Brigade, a Twin Cities-based rescue organization for orphaned neonatal kittens, held its sixth annual field trip at the Sea Life aquarium located in the Mall of America near Minneapolis.

During the early Monday morning event, approximately two dozen kittens explored the aquarium, including walking through a 300-foot underwater tunnel to observe sand tiger sharks and sea turtles. Event director Kya Anderson noted that the field trips serve to raise awareness for the organization and provide socialization opportunities for the young cats, which can assist in their transition to permanent homes after adoption.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is currently overseeing approximately 1,000 kittens this year.
