Bitty Kitty Brigade kitten socialization event

Overview

The Bitty Kitty Brigade, a rescue organization for orphaned neonatal kittens based in the Twin Cities, held its sixth annual field trip at the Sea Life aquarium in the Mall of America near Minneapolis.

Approximately two dozen kittens participated in the two-hour excursion, exploring an underwater tunnel to observe marine life such as sand tiger sharks, rays, and sea turtles. Organizers stated the event serves to raise awareness for the shelter, which is currently overseeing about 1,000 kittens, and provides socialization opportunities to help the animals transition more easily to permanent homes after adoption.
