BJ Murray Jr. makes MLB debut with Chicago Cubs

BJ Murray Jr. made his Major League Baseball debut for the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night at Wrigley Field against the Milwaukee Brewers. Starting as the designated hitter, the 26-year-old Bahamian infielder recorded his first career hit in the bottom of the sixth inning with an infield single.

Murray joins a select group of athletes from the Bahamas, becoming the 10th player from the nation to reach the major leagues. His call-up follows a strong performance at Triple-A Iowa, where he maintained a .294 batting average with 16 home runs. Following the game, Murray shared a celebratory post on social media expressing gratitude for the support received during his journey.
