BJP accuses INDIA bloc of undermining Election Commission

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana has accused the opposition INDIA bloc of attempting to create an “atmosphere of anarchy” by discrediting constitutional institutions. Telangana BJP President Ramchander Rao alleged that the Congress party is spreading misinformation regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls to gain political advantage.

This criticism follows the INDIA bloc's plans for a protest march to the Election Commission of India (ECI). The opposition is demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, citing alleged irregularities in electoral rolls.

Ramchander Rao further claimed that the Congress party is attempting to tarnish India's democratic image. He alleged that the opposition fails to oppose the inclusion of illegal infiltrators in voter lists and accused them of blaming the ECI and Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) only when they lose elections.
