BJP concludes 180km Padayatra with major rally in Ballari
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is concluding its 180-kilometer Padayatra march in Ballari, Karnataka. The march, which began in Lingasugur, Raichur, on September 1, aimed to highlight the perceived failures of the D. K. Shivakumar-led government and address local public grievances.
A massive concluding rally is scheduled at the Old Municipal Ground in Ballari. The event is expected to draw over 100,000 workers and features high-profile leadership, including Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and V. Somanna, former Chief Ministers B. S. Yediyurappa and Basavaraj Bommai, and BJP State President B. Y. Vijayendra.
Due to the scale of the gathering and previous local tensions, authorities have implemented heavy security measures. Under the direction of Senior IPS Officer Dr. Suman D. Panneker, over 1,200 police personnel, including several Deputy Superintendents of Police and various specialized units, have been deployed to maintain order and manage traffic in the city.
