BJP leaders counter Akhilesh Yadav over Uttar Pradesh revision process
Political tensions have escalated in Uttar Pradesh following comments by Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. BJP leaders and state ministers have responded by accusing the Samajwadi Party of questioning constitutional and democratic institutions because they have not accepted their defeat in the 2022 assembly elections.
In Varanasi, Cabinet Minister Anil Rajbhar stated that questioning democratic processes has become a habit for the Samajwadi Party. He noted that voter list revision processes have occurred under various governments since 1952 and urged leaders to speak based on facts rather than making political allegations.
In Ghazipur, BJP state vice president Krishna Bihari Rai criticized the Samajwadi Party, alleging the party is filled with chaotic elements and that its leaders are restless due to being out of power. He further dismissed corruption allegations made by Akhilesh Yadav, asserting that the BJP has earned public trust through service, peace, and development.
