BJP leaders criticize Akhilesh Yadav over Samajwadi Party symbolism

BJP leaders in Uttar Pradesh have launched criticisms against Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, targeting the symbolic use of the red cap. Minister Dayashankar Singh stated that in Uttar Pradesh, the red cap is perceived as a symbol of hooliganism, anarchy, and corruption, claiming it creates an atmosphere of fear among the public.

Singh further alleged that Yadav is shifting toward the saffron color because he recognizes the public's lack of affinity for the red cap. Minister Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary also criticized the Samajwadi Party, accusing it of insulting farmers and failing to maintain law and order in Western Uttar Pradesh, citing past riots and looting during SP's tenure.

Additionally, Chaudhary addressed the opposition's questioning of constitutional institutions and the electoral process, suggesting that parties like the Congress and SP are unable to accept the mandates given to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
