Indian leaders pay tribute to Deendayal Upadhyaya on birth anniversary
Political leaders and Chief Ministers across India paid tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary, celebrating his ideological contributions to the nation.
In New Delhi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and various central ministers, including the Vice President and Lok Sabha Speaker, honored the former Bharatiya Jana Sangh leader. They emphasized his philosophies of ‘Ekatma Manavtavad’ (Integral Humanism) and ‘Antyodaya’ (uplifting the last person in society) as the foundational pillars of the current administration’s governance and development models.
State-level commemorations were held in multiple regions. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha noted that Upadhyaya’s vision of balanced development for the body, mind, and soul remains essential for societal progress. In Gujarat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel led floral tributes in Ahmedabad. Other leaders, including Chief Ministers from Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Odisha, also marked the occasion, linking Upadhyaya’s principles to contemporary welfare schemes and national self-reliance.
