BLA claims 11 Pakistani security personnel killed in Balochistan
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said it carried out 11 operations across Balochistan between 25 April and 3 May, killing 11 members of the Pakistani security forces and injuring several others. The group also claimed to have captured three Military Intelligence officers during the attacks.
The assaults targeted army personnel, vehicles transporting minerals and local collaborators, using remote‑controlled IEDs, hand grenades and road blockades that punctured trailer tyres. BLA statements detailed attacks in districts such as Dalbandin, Panjgur, Kalat, Chedgi, Pasni and Kharan. The group acknowledged three of its own fighters were killed on 24 April during clashes.
If verified, the incidents represent a notable escalation in the insurgent campaign in the volatile province, adding to the security challenges faced by the Pakistani state.
