BlackRock's IBIT sees $1.08 billion in Bitcoin ETF inflows
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has seen approximately $1.08 billion in net inflows over a 20-day period, according to on-chain data from Arkham Intelligence. This influx of capital has contributed to IBIT’s total holdings reaching roughly 785,000 BTC, with assets under management (AUM) exceeding $60 billion.
In contrast, Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) experienced net outflows of approximately $254.7 million during the same timeframe. Analysts attribute the divergence in fund performance partly to fee structures; IBIT maintains an annual fee of 0.25%, while GBTC charges 1.5%.
While the movement of Bitcoin to custodial addresses associated with IBIT reflects the growing scale of the fund, it is noted that these inflows represent investor capital rather than direct purchases of Bitcoin by BlackRock as a corporate entity. Currently, US spot Bitcoin ETFs collectively hold over 1.28 million BTC, accounting for about 6% of the total Bitcoin supply.
