Blalul Bhutto Zardari declares July 27 elections pivotal for Kashmir and Pakistan

PPP chairman Blalul Bhutto Zardari addressed supporters in Kotli and Dadyal, stating that the scheduled elections on July 27 are of extraordinary importance for both Azad Kashmir and Pakistan. He said the party will allocate tickets to its loyal workers and aims to form a government in Azad Kashmir, noting that the party’s candidates are representatives of his family and that the party wishes to see its loyal members elected.

Bhutto emphasized PPP’s commitment to representing Kashmiri voices at the national level, proposing a truth‑and‑reconciliation commission to address recent tensions and calling for constitutional reforms that would ensure Kashmiri representation in Pakistan’s parliament. He also reiterated the PPP’s broader agenda of public service, democracy, and protection of political, economic and constitutional rights.
